Palmerston North City Library provides expertise, programmes and materials for the community to enjoy in stunning, exciting spaces.
View SiteThe primary goal for PNCL was to create an engaging site where people could easily connect to the content they desired. A simple request for a complex situtaion that invovled a variety of content structures: from their library catalogue, automated feeds and regular publishing from the library’s content editors.
Design that’s truely user focused
We started the design process with research. Kicking off with a UX workshop to help define who the audience where and why they we coming to the site.
We approached each template design with the users purpose in mind. Content and clear call to actions focused on guiding visitors to where they wanted to go.
We delivered a mobile responsive design that did just that - engage with the visitor!
Handling multiple content structures and feeds with CMS development
Not only does a site like PNCL need to be easy for its visitors to use - but also needs to be easily managed from the back end.
We achieved this by creating a customised admin area which focused on providing intuitive workflows unique to each content structure or feed.
Ongoing support and site management
The outcome is a modern online presence that closely reflects the culture and visual vibrancy of the Palmerston North City Library brand.
We continue to support the site ensuring a seamless experience for both the public and site administrators with new ideas and technolgies as they emerge.
